Fresh new lines added to this classic boulder bringing some harder grades and new challenges to the West side circuit. All killer no filler courtesy of Mikey C, Ruby P and Kyle W. It now has 7 problems ranging from 6c+ to 7c+. Check out the details below.
Turquoise = Horizon 7a/+
From the obvious hanging pod, under the boulder, smash out to the lip traverse leftwards to a scary mantle above an awkward landing. (Blame Mikey Cleverdon for the slash grades! - needs some repeats and opinions let me know!)
Blue = The Mule 6c+
Start on the hanging pod under the boulder, smash straight out to the lip, follow this rightwards to a jug and an exciting top out.
Yellow = Eye of the Storm 7b
From the hanging pod attain the hanging arete, via the perfect crimp, top out as for The Mule.
Red + Turquoise = Horizon Low 7c
Start in the break deep under the boulder, somehow RELEASE(!) yourself onto the pod/ crimp on EOTS - finish up Horizon.
Red + Yellow = Eye of the Storm Low 7c+
Fresh one from Kyle Whitehand. Start in the break deep under the boulder, somehow RELEASE(!) yourself onto the pod/ crimp on EOTS, finish as for EOTS
Dark Blue - The Long Horizon 7b+/7c
Start on obvious hold under the roof to the right of the hanging arete traverse leftwards for miles finish up Horizon. (Mikey loving the slash grades! Lemme know what you think).
Dark Blue + Turquoise - Hurricane 7a
Ruby's original starts under the roof right of the hanging arete and finishes up it as for EOTS ie. don't keep traversing leftwards!
